| MEMBERS: | Do You Want To Build A Money Making Website?
No matter what site you build it will never be able to make money unless it gets traffic. You ask anyone online who is either new or intermediate what their biggest challenge is. The majority would say that getting traffic to their site is their number one priority. So when building a site you will naturally want to build it in a way that will help this to happen. In order to do this you need to research extensively what way you will be able to get in front of people searching for products or information relative to your sites theme. You will need to research markets somewhat relative to your interests. For example you may be interested in travel. Some guru's say you should not necessarily build a site around something you are interested in - instead you should build a site around a subject that will make you money. While this is understandable many people would be challenged to keep up the motivation doing something they do not like when they are starting out - because at this point there will be very little if any money coming in. What you can do is pick a subject of general interest and then find niches within that which are profitable. This way you have the best of both worlds helping you to stay motivated and make money at the same time. So your primary goal is to build a site that can compete with others and make you money. Develop the site in a way that the search engines will be able to understand and your visitors will enjoy. This way you will build relationships and as a result make money. How To Create A Powerful Website
So you're considering building a website and you may be feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. While this can easily happen it is wise to whip out some note paper and write down exactly what you want to achieve and what steps you need to take in order to get there. So the first thing you are going to need to do is put the foundation in place. This will require extensive research. Now contrary to popular opinion I start this process a little bit differently than what is generally advised. Now while we all know that you need to find a hungry market doing this can be a little more difficult than explained in actual fact that is just like everything else when it comes to doing anything online. Actuality can be quite different from theory. So what I do is visit the article directories. I punch in a keyword that I am interested in and see what articles come up relative to that. Then I check the articles out to see how many page views they have received over a given period of time. If an article receives a lot of page views then I know that there are a number of people looking for information relative to this subject. I also know that if I write an article on this topic that it will receive a lot of page views and as a result get a lot of click throughs to my site which will help me get traffic quickly without having to worry about what Google and everyone else does. Next I visit the forums to see what solutions are being discussed then I go back to the articles and check what the writers are promoting and see if it is a valid good product to help people achieve the goals they desire. If so then I make note of it. Now I feel a little more confident about building a site around this theme. The next thing you have to consider is the domain. A keyword in the domain is helpful but not essential. Your next quest is hosting. You need a good host as this is your life line. Finally you want to be able to build the site effectively so as to achieve good search engine rankings. Keyword research relative to your overall theme will help you to do this plus you need to structure the pages properly so that you site can be understood by the search engines. Do not worry if you lack technical knowledge as there are site builders out there to help you overcome this challenge. Select any of the following links to watch some free videos.
Tracking Your Website Performance
In any type of sales if you're not tracking your leads, your sales, your conversion rates, etc. then you are missing out on an opportunity to expand and grow your business; in the Internet Marketing world this is especially true. There are plenty of free tools on the Internet nowadays that allow you to see how many visitors you are getting, what geographic location they are in and 'how' they got to your website. The 'how' they got to your site is the most important question of all. You may be getting 500 visitors a month of which 300 may be coming from advertising source 'A' with another hundred coming from advertising source 'B' and yet another 50 visitors coming from advertising source 'C' with the rest coming in small increments of 1-5 from different ads that you've placed on the Internet. One good reason to track your website visitors is it lets you know whats working in contrast to that which is barely working if working at all; this way you can save time and energy focusing on what works and tossing aside what doesn't. Another excellent reason is, as stated before, to save time. You want an online business to enjoy the increase in time available to spend with your family, on hobbies or on whatever you want to do. If you're laboring at a computer all day wasting time on what doesn't work then you are also wasting precious time that would better be spent elsewhere. There are all kinds of free trackers on the Internet but one of the best I've ever seen is Google Analytics. You can see everything from the number of visitors your site had from day to day, but you can also see their geographical location as well as how they were referred to your site. This is very important as you want to know what is working and what isn't. Another benefit of Google analytics is that it doesn't leave a little box at the bottom of your page which allows both you and all your visitors to see your site statistics. With Google Analytics you place a small piece of code at the bottom of your page which is invisible so only you have access to your stats.
