| MEMBERS: | How To Lay The Foundation For A Good Website
So you are passionate about a particular subject and you want to take your passion online. At this point you may not know where to start and this is where I hope I can help you. After all you deserve to share your passion with others and they will benefit from it also. The key to building any website is to build it with your visitor in mind. What can you truly do for them that will add value to their experience when visiting your site? Let's take for example that you enjoy building model planes. The first place you are going to visit is the online forums. The reason I choose forums is because this is where conversations take place relative to any given topic. This will give you a measure of interest. The first step is to see how up to date the forum is and secondly how many posts it receives per day. Additionally how many people respond to those posts on any given day? Obviously the more the better, the more interest the better for you. The next thing you are going to look for is, what are the questions being asked and can you engage in the conversation and offer solutions. If this is the case your next task is to look for keywords. What keywords do people use to seek out solutions for their needs? The next thing to do is look for a keyword tool. I am going to use Google's keyword tool for this example. Keyword tools by the way are not by any standard of the imagination an exact science. They give you a rough guide as to how many times a given keyword is searched. So do not think that the numbers you get are exact. Your task right now is to develop a list of keywords. Once you have this list you are now going to look at the level of competition. Starting out we do not want too much competition but remember competition is good as it means there is money to be made in that market. We at this point are just looking for cheaper ways to enter the market. To do this enter your keyword into the search box in quotes. Then check how many websites are coming up for that keyword. If it is in the millions that is not good if it is in the thousands then that is great. You will now be refining your list based on competition. Once the list is completely refined you will now have the general structure of your site. These keywords will make up individual web pages. To conclude this is how to lay the foundation then once you have these keywords you will be ready to structure each of the pages on your site using each individual keyword with content relative to that. To learn how to put all this together select any of the links provided.
How To Create A Successful Website
Every one of us wants to create a successful website. No one wants to fail. As a consequence of this many of us are out there looking for the silver bullet. Now to me the silver bullet lies within you. You are the key to your success. Of course this sounds nice but how can it be applied in practical terms? Firstly you like anyone else go online to seek solutions. Your idea right now is that you want to make money. So you are going to search out opportunities that enable you to achieve this. As a result of this you are going to come across a lot of information and the information that seems the most believable to you is the one you will choose to obtain. However there is also another element at play and that is emotion. The site that outlines the benefits that speak best to your emotional desires will be the one that you approve. To build a successful website you can use yourself as the model. In other words when people visit your site are you going to outline the benefits that speak to their emotional desires and furthermore will you provide proof by helping them to connect the dots which will make it believable for them that they can reach the goal that they desire to reach. If your website is built in this way where you genuinely help others achieve their objective then your site will be naturally successful. It really is as simple as that but that does not mean that the work will not be challenging because it will - but if you are determined and build you site with the visitor in mind then the rest is history.
How To Create A Simple, Effective Website
Before you build any website it is important to sit back and think about exactly what you want to achieve. This will help you to stay focused on your objective. Now I am going to presume that you want your site to make you some money. Wile it is nice to make money if this is your only objective you may face many challenges ahead. The reason is because you may find the level of motivation may dwindle if you do not start making money quickly. What I want to emphasize is simplicity. Keep it simple. Do not over complicate the process. To create and effective website you need to understand why people use the internet. Our main goal when we go online is to get information for one reason or another. This may be for research or entertainment purposes. However the premise remains the same. One way or another your site will need to provide content relevant to the individuals search. This content can be provided by audio, video or written means. The fact is that it has to be relevant in order to be effective. We all know how we feel when we find what we are looking for. This builds credibility and as a result the recommendations you make will be followed which means you will make money. The bottom line is that we all want results and desire to achieve a certain outcome. You need to know what your visitor's wants and needs are then address it and provide solutions. Communicate with your visitors in a way that makes sense to them and provide logical steps that they can follow. As for the technical aspects of building a site the good news is that there are many website building software tools out there that can help with this even if you have no technical knowledge. So don't sweat the small stuff.
